John Boles, CPA, Partner
John oversees the assurance practice for our Auburn and Opelika offices. John has over 20 years of experience. He provides auditing, tax, and consulting services to a variety of industries including governmental, non-profit, construction, technology, manufacturing, and health care. John is most passionate about providing strategic tax and financial planning to small businesses and families.
John is a graduate of Auburn University in accounting, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including the AICPA, ASCPA, EAMC Foundation, and the Auburn University School of Accountancy Advisory Board. John is also a local director of BBVA.
John loves to travel and spend time with his wife Janie and four children: John Jr., Bella, James and Jack.
Heath Carter, CPA, Manager
With over 10 years of accounting experience, Heath works in our Auburn office on governmental audits, and prepares and reviews individual and business tax returns. He is an Auburn University graduate and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. Heath and his wife, Meggie, have two children and he enjoys watching sports, reading, gardening and fishing.
Adam Creel, CPA, Senior Accountant
Adam has a detail-oriented eye for audit and tax work. Always driven to learn and strive for more, he recently finished his Master in Accountancy at Auburn University. Adam and wife Lori love small-town life in Opelika, especially during football season. He enjoys woodworking, furniture design, classic cars and golf.
Kendall Donaldson, CPA, Staff Accountant
Kendall serves as a staff accountant in our Auburn office, working mainly on governmental and non-profit audits. Kendall graduated from Auburn in May of 2020 with a Masters of Accountancy. She is a member of Auburn Young Professionals and also serves as a Diplomat for the Auburn Chamber. In her free time, Kendall enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing with her dog, Kai.
Ashley Graziano, CPA, Manager
Ashley provides expertise in individual and business tax, bookkeeping, and payroll. She was inspired working for a small, CPA-owned business throughout high school and while pursuing an accounting degree at Auburn University. Ashley has earned her Master in Accountancy at Auburn and is a thoughtful advisor to businesses. She is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ashley enjoys family time and her Chihuahua, and hopes to own her own farm one day.

Kyleigh Kichler, Senior Accountant
As a senior accountant, Kyleigh oversees a variety of auditing jobs. Caring and personable, she inspires coworkers and clients alike with her dedication and optimism. Childhood summers spent helping her grandmother with the family farm’s books ignited a passion for accounting. Kyleigh’s ideal weekends include traveling, and watching Auburn football and basketball.
Alessandro Rovere, CPA, FMVA, Manager
Originally from Genoa, Italy, Alessandro works in our Auburn office as a manager, providing audit services. Previously, he worked in Antigua as a financial consultant and analyst at Elmsbridge Property International, and in Italy as a senior auditor for Reconta Ernst & Young. Alessandro and his wife Caroline, an industrial engineer, have a son, Sebastian, and a daughter, Charlotte. They love to travel, cook, and take long walks around the Auburn University campus.
Jim Himmelwright, CPA, Partner
Jim has been the managing member of the Opelika office since 1998, and specializes in medical practices, outsourced bookkeeping and payroll. A native of the area, he graduated from Auburn University and began his accounting career with Ernst & Young in Birmingham. After moving back to his hometown, Jim worked for four years with Lafoy and Associates before founding what would become HHB with partner Hal Huguley.
With an extensive understanding of area business and accounting management, Jim assists client management with business startups, growth and continuity planning. He helps clients realize their dreams, from the excitement of beginnings and through inevitable growing pains. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In his free time, Jim can most likely be found on the tennis court. He also serves on his church finance committee, and he and wife Amy have two children.
Hal Huguley, CPA, Partner
Hal cofounded the firm in 1998 along with Jim Himmelwright. He assists HHB clients through personal, one-on-one assistance, particularly in the area of tax matters and audits. Clients benefit from his vast experience examining business and individual returns as a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service.
Hal is dedicated to continually providing the same service he would expect to receive himself. He cares deeply about each client’s business and general needs, always letting them know they’ll be taken care of. As proof, he has saved them significant tax dollars over the years.
Hard work is hard-wired into Hal, who began helping his dad at the family’s full-service filling station in Opelika at the age of 12. An alumnus of Auburn University and dedicated Tiger football fan, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past president of the East Alabama Chapter of CPAs. Hal and wife Lori have two lovely daughters, Hayden and Abbey.
Robert Foster, CPA, Partner
As the newest partner of the firm, Robert provides decades of experience to our Opelika and Auburn clients. The go-to guy for answers, he plays a vital role in training and mentoring staff. Robert is married to his high-school sweetheart and has three sons and two grandsons. Robert graduated from Auburn University in accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Melanie Bates, Accounting Services Consultant
Melanie is an Accounting Services Consultant, working in bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and quarterly taxes in our Opelika office. Melanie was an Accounting Manager/Controller in the construction and manufacturing industry for over 30 years. She has three children and six grandchildren. Melanie likes to spend her weekends at the lake, traveling and watching Auburn football.
Jeananne Allgood, Business Services Consultant
Jeananne works as a part-time accounting assistant in the Opelika office. She brings over a decade of experience and “a love for numbers” to bookkeeping and tax return prep. Jeananne graduated in elementary education from Auburn University at Montgomery. When not running, exercising, or dreaming up her next lake or beach vacation, she cheers with her family at her son’s baseball games.
Rick Bradshaw, Senior Accountant
Rick serves in bookkeeping and accounting in our Opelika office, helping clients navigate business complexities. After owning a firearms/sporting goods store, then marketing 3D Printing equipment, he entered Auburn University’s Master of Accountancy program. Rick resides in Auburn with his wife, Brittany, and their son, Jude, and daughter, Magnolia. When not working, he enjoys long distance marksmanship and motorcycling.
Christine Czerkawski, CPA, Manager
Christine specializes in tax preparation for nonprofits, partnerships, S corps, and individuals. She also reviews payroll and provides bookkeeping. She holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy, and previously served real estate clients at RSM, LLC. An Auburn grad in accountancy and finance, Christine enjoys the outdoors with husband Nick, and hanging out with their dogs Charlie and Raylee.
Mary Katherine Holton, Accounting Services Consultant
Accounting services representative Mary Katherine provides payroll, bookkeeping and individual tax services to clients in multiple industries. An organized, upbeat problem solver at our Opelika office, Mary Katherine graduated from Troy University and lives in Auburn with husband Perry and their two children. They often enjoy time out at the hunting land when not watching football with friends and family. Multitalented Mary Katherine is not only a DIY crafter—she also sang at Carnegie Hall in 2011.
Anna Keesee, CPA, Senior Accountant
Anna is part of our accounting services and audit group in Opelika, specializing in not-for-profit, governmental, HUD, and construction industries. Anna is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree and Master of Accountancy degree from Auburn University. Anna enjoys painting and spending time with family.
Kellie Montgomery, Accounting Services Manager
Kellie’s specialties in our Opelika office include job cost accounting, corporate income tax, preparing financials, and various bookkeeping duties, mainly for contracting clients. While earning a management degree at Auburn, Kellie began learning bookkeeping services from Jim Himmelwright before HHB was established. Kellie and her husband, Mike, live on Lake Martin with their three children and Goldendoodle.
Catherine Stapleton, Administrative Professional
Catherine provides excellent customer service to our clients, assists with assembling tax returns, and manages the Opelika office. Catherine earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies at Auburn University in 2015. She is a member of Auburn Young Professionals and is passionate about giving back to the local community. Catherine enjoys spending time with family, her fiancé, and Pomeranian, Chewy. She also loves to travel, visit with friends, watch Auburn sports, and exercise.
Monica Sawyer, Accounting Services Specialist
Monica works in bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and individual tax returns at the Opelika office. Entering an accounting career “by default”, Monica now chooses and loves her job every day. She brings enthusiasm and creative thinking to each new project and person. A zoology graduate of Auburn, she shares with husband Kevin and their three boys and one girl: dogs, cats, and a guinea pig named Ashley.

Working in our Opelika office, Cydney is an accounting assistant specializing in payroll processing. She also helps with taxes, quarterly filings, sales taxes, and tax returns. Cydney is a native of Opelika and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
